Yasmeen Richards is a DMV-based freelance musician, and teacher of horn at the Peabody Preparatory and Baltimore Symphony’s OrchKids. Richards graduated with her Master of Musical Arts in 2019 from the Peabody Conservatory and received her Bachelor's from UCLA in 2013. She has performed with artists such as Chance the Rapper, Kirk Franklin, and Marin Alsop, appearing on the 57th Annual Grammy Awards and Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen. In addition to horn, Yasmeen enjoys fostering equitable musical spaces for black and brown musicians; acting as President for the Peabody Conservatory Black Student Union and newly-founded Chromatic Brass Collective.
