Melissa Muñoz is a vibrant trumpeter, educator, and activist. She is currently pursuing the Professional Studies Certificate at The Colburn School under the tutelage of Jim Wilt. Melissa received her Bachelor of Music from UT Austin and her Master of Music from the Yale School of Music. Melissa has performed with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Winds, and New World Symphony. She serves as adjunct instructor of brass at Cheshire Academy, maintains a private studio, and gives guest masterclasses at schools around the United States. Melissa is also a co-founder of Brass Out Loud, an organization that seeks to uplift voices of underrepresented brass musicians.
