Hana Hubley is a second-generation Japanese-Canadian studying tuba and composition at the University of Lethbridge with Nick Sullivan and Dr. Arlan Schultz respectively. 

She has performed in Taiwan with the University of Lethbridge Wind Orchestra at the Chiayi City International Band Festival in 2018, and has also performed in the Denis Wick Canadian Wind Orchestra in 2020. Hana was a participant in the 2020 and 2021 Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Institute, and was a mentee in the International Women’s Brass Conference Mentorship Program in spring 2021. 

Ms. Hubley plans to pursue a career in performance and composition, and wants to create a more inclusive space in the industry of brass music.
